About Cambodia Business Guide (CBM)

The Cambodia Business Guide, with the internet domain of www.cambodiabusinessguide.com, is the creation of Teo Marte Tayo.

He has been a foreign expatriate living in Cambodia, as a resident on a retirement visa, for the past fourteen years.

He came to Cambodia, assigned as director of a post-graduate school that confers a master's degree (Master of Science in Development Management) to students, mostly professionals, who are working in international non-government organizations (NGO) and were studying to further enhance their knowledge and capability in development management.

Before retirement, he was a consultant to non-government organizations for entrepreneurship development and for community development projects in the Philippines for 23 years before relocating to Cambodia in 2011. His past work experience, among others, include being Associate Director for Planning and Development in the Community Development Program of Central Philippine University and was the Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Infection Control and Treatment (formerly Citizens Coalition Against Tuberculosis) in the Philippines, as well as project consultant in the Philippines Department of Health for WHO and GFATM programs against tuberculosis and HIV, from 2003 to 2011.

Along with his past work experience in entrepreneurship development and community development projects, Mr. Tayo has had an active role and participation in accessing and managing development funds from funding institutions in Germany, the Netherlands, Canada, and the United States that support projects for economic development and health programs that are implemented in developing Southeast Asian countries.

He is currently based, as a resident, in the City of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

About Making It Easy, Co. Ltd. (MIE)

MIE is a private business consulting organization, duly registered in the Cambodia Ministry of Commerce. It has successfully operated for ten years, helping local and foreign nationals in setting up business enterprises in Cambodia.

MIE was founded and is being managed by Mr. Kong Kimsophat, who serves as its Chief Executive Officer.

The executives of MIE are organized into teams, each with a set of specialized expertise, composed of members who speak fluent English and who possess specialized knowledge in the dynamics of procedures and practices in the setting up of a business enterprise or the investment of financial resources in Cambodia, particularly for foreign nationals.

MIE is very aware of the difficulties that foreign nationals can meet in the establishment of a business enterprise or in making a capital investment in Cambodia, because of difficulties that can be met, such as language barrier documents that are written in the national language (Khmer), unfamiliarity with laws and regulations, and the initial difficulty of communicating with locals who are needed for necessary business connections, and is particularly focused in the provision of services that can remove this difficulties and make things easy for foreign investors.
